Ayer estuve grabando un reportaje sobre la importancia de los blogs en España para la Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Cataluña (ESCAC) con Aida Domenech. Espero poder mostraros el vídeo la semana que viene, como muy tarde! Aquí os dejo algunas fotos que hicimos ayer durante el rodaje. Espero que os gusten y que sigáis atentos a mi blog ya que aún quedan muchas cositas nuevas que postear!

Yesterday I've been recording for ESCAC about the importance of the blogs in Spain and in the fashion world with Aida Domenech. I'm sure I will be able to show you the video next week. Muchos habéis estado preguntándome últimamente sobre mi nuevo banner y su autor. Pues, por esta razón, quería hacer una mención especial a Antoine Garló por segunda vez en mi blog. Él es el encargado de haber hecho www.missmarbles.net mucho más bonito y artístico. Many of you guys have been asking me lately about my new banner and his author. That's why today I wanna make a second mention in my blog to Antoine Garló. Follow him because you won't regret it, for sure!

"Less is more" is the new black

Aprovecho que estamos en pleno mes de febrero y es la época en la que hay más movimiento dentro del mundo de la moda para enseñaros mi colección preferida de la pasada edición de la NYFW. El repertorio de prendas de BCBG Max Azra para esta Primavera/Verano me dejó enormemente impactada en comparación con la última colección que han presentado de las prendas de Otoño/Invierno 2012. Es posible que sea porque yo amo el buen tiempo por encima de todo y, por lo tanto, la ropa más ligera y sencilla. Pero creo que los outfits que han mostrado en esta última pasarela no sorprenden en absoluto excepto algún que otro conjunto semi-acertado. Además, en nada tendremos a la primavera y al buen tiempo encima y que mejor forma de hacernos a la idea que con un buen repertorio de imágenes sobre las nuevas prendas que se van a llevar. Yo voto siempre por la simplicidad por encima de la aparatosidad y la complicación. Y los estampados lisos siempre serán un must para cualquier temporada. Cualquiera de estos vestidos me parecen maravillosos y especiales: el juego de lo vaporoso con las telas transparentes, el corte de los escotes, la caída de las telas sobre el cuerpo y los colores. Sobre todo los colores. Una nueva oportunidad al blanco que, según dicen, va a ser el rey absoluto de la primavera y el verano. Y vosotros, ¿qué opináis sobre esta colección?.

I'm taking advantage of the fact that we are in the month of February which is the time when there is more movement within the fashion world to show you my favorite collection of the last edition of the NYFW. The repertoire of BCBG MaxAzra clothes for this Spring / Summer left me greatly impacted compared with the last F/W collection submitted . It may be because I love a good time above everything, and therefore, the lighter and easier clothes. But I think the outfits they have shown in the last runway aren't amazing at all except occasional semi-successful outfits. In addition, we have the spring time and the good weather very close and what better way to get used to the idea that a good portfolio of pictures of the new clothes that are going to be worn the most. I always vote for simplicity above the apparatus and the complication. And the smooth patterns will always be a must for any season.

Any of these dresses look wonderful and special to me: the game of vaporous with sheer fabrics, the necklines cuts, the way the fabrics fall over the body and the colors. Especially the colors. A new opportunity to white which they say it will be the absolute spring and summer king. So what do you think about this collection?.

Aquí os dejo el video que me han pasado esta mañana desde Vice: un perfecto resumen de lo que fue la Pasarela 080 de esta temporada. Aunque bueno, es sólo eso, un resumen, ya que todo lo que se ve no es ni la mitad de lo que fue y todo lo que pudo dar de sí un evento tan genial. Espero que os guste el video y que todos estéis con la sonrisa puesta, que mañana es viernes!

Of course it's just a summary because everything you see is nothing compared to what it has really been an amazing event like this. Which one?

Por norma general prefiero utilizar mi blog para contaros todas mis experiencias profesionales tanto dentro del mundo de la moda, el arte y la fotografía y compartir algunas instantáneas de ocio, pero en esta ocasión me gustaría exponer un tema que me ronda por la cabeza desde hace unas semanas. Dentro de unos días celebraremos mis compañeros de universidad y yo lo que llamamos "el paso de ecuador" de la carrera. Se ha organizado una cena y una fiesta increíble y aún no sé que ponerme exactamente. Tengo en mente un precioso vestido en color verde de Azzedine Alaïa, pero aún hay sitio en mi imaginario para algo más. Estoy obsesionada con las líneas de Jill Stuart y Burberry Prorsum, aunque no sean de esta temporada. ¿Cuál os parece más acertado? ¿Sabéis alguna tienda en la que pueda encontrar algo parecido? Ahora es mi turno de haceros las preguntas y espero con muchas ganas vuestras respuestas! Y por cierto, todo lo que he prometido es deuda. Sólo hay que tener un poco de paciencia, una no sólo vive de esto! ;-) También quería aprovechar para agradecer que ya son más de 1000 seguidores via Google. Sólo espero que esto vaya creciendo de la manera sólida en la que lo ha hecho todo el tiempo que llevo con mi blog en marcha. Gracias a todos los que me seguís. Es un placer.

I usually use my blog only to keep you guys informed about my professional experiences in the world of fashion, photography and art even also to share some random pictures of my parties and trips. But now I just wanted to share with you something that is running through my head since weeks. In a couple of days it will take place my 'halfway' university carreer celebration and I don't know what I'm going to wear yet. I was thinking about a gorgeous Azzedine Alaïa dress but I could make room for some other ideas. I'm obsessed about Jill Stuart and Burberry Prorsum collections, even they are not from this season. So, my question is: What style do you like the most? Do you know any store which I can find some of these dresses or similars? Now it's my turn to make questions and I'm looking forward for your answers :) And, by the way, everything that I've promised it will happen but you have to be patience! Also I wanna thank that I reach the 1000 followers via Google. I only wish that this will still growing strong as it has been doing since Miss Marbles exists. It's a pleasure!

Este fin de semana ha sido uno de los mejores desde que empezó el año nuevo. El sol ha empezado a asomarse por Barcelona y nos ha regalado unos días maravillosos y primaverales. La luz y el calor cambian radicalmente mi estado de ánimo al modo ON y necesito estar todo el día en la calle disfrutando de todas las horas de sol posibles. Los que me seguís en Twitter sabréis que este Sábado estuve pasando la mañana en el Parc Güell con Carlota y Margaret. Así que aquí os dejo unas instantáneas de ese bonito día. El sol continúa brillando así que me voy corriendo a la calle a absorber todos la energía y rayos posibles. Be happy!

This weekend has been one of the bests weekends since the New Year started. The sun was rising and offered us some beautiful spring days. I love the warm and the light of the sun so I was willing to be everywhere but home. All of you guys who follow me on Twitter know that I was spending the last Saturday at Parc Güell with Carlota and Margaret. I hope you like the pictures we took during the day. The sun stills shining and rising high so I'm leaving quickly to take advantage of all its energy. Be happy!

080 Barcelona Fashion

El 31 de Enero comenzó la semana de la moda de Barcelona. Tres días llenos de moda independiente por parte de numerosos "jóvenes diseñadores" que presentaron sus colecciones de F/W en el recinto habilitado para la Pasarela 080. Mi amiga Carlota y yo nos dirigimos al Passeig Joan de Borbó, al lado de la playa de la Barceloneta, y empezamos a adentrarnos en los showrooms antes de que dieran comienzo los desfiles. Por otro lado, éstos son los outfits que llevamos Carlota y yo para pasar el día:

The 31st of January it started the Barcelona Fashion Week. 3 days full of avant-garde fashion by young and new designers who showed their F/W collections for 080 fashion show. My beloved friend Carlota and I went to the Passeig Joan de Borbó, next to the beach, and we went right directly to the showrooms before the fashion show started. In the other hand, these are the outfits we wore during the day:

Americana/Blazer - Pepe Jeans, Mono/Jumpsuit - H&M, Zapatos/Heels - Passy

Botas/Boots - Dr. Martens vintage, Bolso/Bag - Fun&Basics

Alrededor de las 17.45h de la tarde tuvo lugar la primera mesa redonda sobre Comunicación y Moda. Compartí la hora que duró la charla con Marta del blog Dadanoias, Yolanda Muelas fundadora de la revista Metal, Paul Geddis de Vice Magazine y José Guerrero. Desde aquí quería dar las gracias, de nuevo, a todos los que habéis hecho posible mi participación en esta conferencia tan interesante y a los que asististeis para verme. Para mí ha sido un gran honor y espero que sea el primer paso para llegar a alcanzar metas mucho más altas. Espero que disfrutarais mucho y, ya sabéis, si os quedó alguna duda podéis escribirme a mi e-mail personal e intentaré contestaros lo antes posible. Esta semana he empezado de nuevo mi rutina universitaria y no he podido acercarme de nuevo por la 080, a ver si hoy saco unas horitas y nos vemos todos de nuevo ahí. Espero que os haya gustado!

Around 17:45 o'clock took place the round-table about Communication and Fashion. I shared one hour with Marta of Dadanoia's blog, Yolanda Muelas: Metal's magazine founder, Paul Geddis of Vice Magazine and José Guerrero. I want to thank again all the people who made possible the fact that I was sitting there and being part of the talk and also thanks to all the people who came to see me. I hope this may be the first step to reach a higher aim. I hope you all enjoy it and don't hesitate to write me to my personal e-mail if you still have any doubt. This week I've started my university routine and I haven't been able to come back to 080 fashion week, maybe today I will and I'll see all of you there again. I hope you like this post!
